![]() ![]() I do think that the lack of maps, however, makes this feel more grindy than it should. Part of the fun is playing the game and slowly seeing your level go up, unlocking various items along the way. I think that's mostly okay-after all, you don't want to level up too quickly. The game was very generous with XP for its first week or so, but now that that's been nerfed we're back to a pretty slow grind. XP could use a small boost, or the game could do more to feel less grindy. ![]() I know we'll never change human nature and players who just don't care will still ruin it for the rest of us, but I also know more can be done.Ĥ. Giving out more points, for instance, for playing the objective would go a long ways. This mode already incentives playing the objective by doing away with scorestreaks, but it could do more. When you're up against a team that is playing the objective, while your teammates just try to get kills, it's pretty disheartening. Too many players play War Mode just to get kills and never build bridges or disarm bombs or escort tanks. This drives me absolutely crazy, but there are far too many instances to ignore. The game feels too sluggish this way frustratingly so at times.ģ. Players need better incentives to play the objective in War Mode. I'm not sure if that would be the sweet spot or not, but something needs to change. I think at least 150% more sprint time across all classes would make the game feel a lot more mobile and more similar to past Call of Duty games. You have to stop jogging almost immediately, and heaven help you if you're trying to make a quick getaway or run across an open space (I'm looking at you Gustav Cannon). I understand that you can have too much of a good thing, and I'm not suggesting that the game should have unlimited sprint. We should be able to sprint longer distances. There should be at the very least five with the base game, and at least 12 standard maps.Ģ. While it's an absolutely fantastic mode, three maps is nowhere near enough. Either way, there aren't enough good maps to keep things interesting for long. I think something might be off with map rotation as well, or people are just map-voting for the same maps. This is simply not enough, especially when a few of the standard maps just aren't that great.ĭon't get me wrong, I do think there are some very good maps in this game, but I've spent far too much time in Gibraltor, Pointe du Hoc and Gustav Cannon for my taste. With these perks, it makes for an easy pick for the top guns in WWII multiplayer. There are nine maps for standard modes (TDM, Domination, etc.) and three maps for War Mode. For longer range targets I usually just single fire with the iron sights. Sometimes I find myself having more luck just spraying in close quarters fights. With this weapon you don’t even need to aim down your sights too often in gun fights. For that, I’d recommend using a grip with it and also using Extended Mags as you’ll find yourself using up ammo fast. The recoil can be a little hard to control. Even with a suppressor equipped, it still packs in a lot of damage at close range and mid-range. ![]() The PPSH-41 is my first pick for whenever I play Search and Destroy matches on smaller maps. (Note: Rapid Fire is disabled in Ranked Play) It’ll most likely remain to be one of the most popular guns throughout the game’s lifetime and among the top guns in WWII multiplayer. A lot of pro players use this gun in competitions. Whether being used in close quarters or long distance, the BAR is extremely reliable. The BAR has received some nerfs, but still remains to be one of the best guns to use in Call of Duty: WWII. This one should be no surprise but is definitely worth mentioning. ![]()
