![]() The best part about it is that if you really want to you can spend say an extra 30 minutes cleaning it up in Jutoh/Vellum to look better like adding a functioning contents page etc. This will at least give you a readable ebook version, rather than a mishmash of random pdf elements left over from conversion methods. ![]() Open the word document in either Jutoh or Vellum (Vellum is paid mac only, Jutoh works well, Sigil is an alternative) OCR can detect and ignore common annoying elements such as headers/footers. The best compromise way to do this that I've found between very fast borderline unusable conversions (Email/Calibre) and spending hours refining is the following:Īny OCR software like Abbyy, Google docs, Acrobat etc and just do a quick OCR on the PDF.
